"Streamflation" concerns rise as consumer spending on digital TV and music services increase by 11.1% in July, while spending on cinema outings decrease by 18.6% compared to the previous year. Due to the lack of attractive new releases, digital content and subscription costs are causing 60% of consumers to be concerned about digital content and subscriptions becoming more expensive. In response, 48% of Brits are reducing discretionary spending, with 23% participating in or considering a "no-spend challenge".
