General Mills faces two federal lawsuits alleging high lead levels in Cocoa Puffs cereal.

General Mills faces two federal lawsuits accusing Cocoa Puffs cereal of containing dangerously high lead levels. Class-action suits in Minnesota and California demand $5m damages for consumers nationwide. Allegedly, a one-cup serving of Cocoa Puffs contains near the state's 0.5 micrograms of lead maximum limit, with most consumers exceeding the recommended serving size. General Mills has not commented on the pending litigation.
