Enugu State Government urges federal workers to end Monday sit-at-home due to economic loss.
Enugu State Government in Nigeria has appealed to federal workers to stop observing the sit-at-home order on Mondays imposed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Governor Peter Mbah declared the sit-at-home illegal upon assuming office in 2023. Enugu's Principal Secretary, Ken Chukwuegbo, said the state was losing a lot due to federal workers' absence from work on Mondays, and urged them to be at their duty posts like their state counterparts, stating that Enugu is not under siege.
