DRI dismantled an international seahorse smuggling racket in Bengaluru, seizing 6,626 dried seahorses on August 3.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) dismantled an international smuggling racket trading in dried seahorses at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on August 3. Acting on intelligence, DRI officers apprehended three suspects and seized 6,626 dried seahorses. The suspects were en route to Singapore via Mumbai. All species of seahorses in India are protected under wildlife laws, and their trade is prohibited.
