Chicago's CTA opens $80M Green Line station at Damen Avenue & Lake Street, serving a gap between Ashland & California stops.

Chicago's CTA has opened a new Green Line station at Damen Avenue and Lake Street, a $80 million project that fills a service gap between Ashland and California stops. Completed just weeks before the Democratic National Convention, the station features a glass bridge connecting platforms and a mural by artist Folayemi Wilson. Funded by tax increment financing, the station is expected to improve travel in the area, drive business in the Kinzie corridor, and attract future investments.
