ADNOC and Osaka Gas sign long-term LNG agreement for 0.8 million tonnes annual supply from ADNOC's Ruwais LNG project, set for 2028 commercial operations.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Japanese company Osaka Gas have signed a long-term Heads of Agreement (LNG agreement) for the supply of up to 0.8 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually from ADNOC's Ruwais LNG project, set to start commercial operations in 2028. Sourced from lower-carbon projects, this deal strengthens ADNOC's position as a reliable global supplier and provides Osaka Gas with a steady LNG source. The Ruwais LNG project, expected to be the first LNG export facility in the Middle East and North Africa region to run on clean power, will more than double ADNOC's existing UAE LNG production capacity, reaching around 15 mmtpa.
