City Museum in St. Louis, MO, partnered with The Shoelace Factory to break a world record by creating the longest shoelace, measuring 2,729 ft (over half a mile). The shoelace, woven using antique machines, required 24 hours to complete. It was verified on the Eads Bridge and the museum resides in the former International Shoe Company building.
