Scottish Water increases water bills by 8.8% amid executive bonuses and sewage dumps rise.

Scottish Water, a state-owned company, has received backlash for increasing water bills by up to 8.8% while executives received £227,000 in bonuses. CEO Alex Plant took home an additional £87,000. The company has also faced criticism for a 10% rise in sewage dumps in 2023 and for covering a £29,000 accommodation allowance for Plant's move from England.
