Oakland A's sell 50% stake in Coliseum complex to AASEG for $125m, enabling $5bn redevelopment project.

Oakland A's baseball team will sell its 50% stake in the Coliseum complex for $125m to the African American Sports & Entertainment Group (AASEG), who also purchased Oakland's half share for $105m. The deal marks a significant milestone as a local Black-led group takes ownership of the historic site, planning to develop it into a $5bn project with housing, a convention centre, and museums. The A's are moving to a new stadium in Las Vegas, and the sale will help AASEG redevelop the stadium.
