The NZTA is closing the southbound onramp of SH16 at Westgate from 6-13 August to transform the left-hand lane into a bus lane, operating M-F during morning peak hours. The closure, from 9pm to 5am each night, aims to improve bus journey reliability for Auckland's northwest bus connections, including the Western Express service. Motorists should follow detours to the Royal Road onramp.
