New Zealand's mixed multihull sailing pair, Micah Wilkinson and Erica Dawson, had a strong performance on day eight of the Olympic sailing competition in Marseille, finishing second in two races and narrowly missing first place in a third. This strong finish puts them in second place halfway through qualifying, behind the Italian team. Meanwhile, New Zealand's Tom Saunders experienced a challenging day, suffering from a disqualification in his first race and is currently in seventh place overall.
