New Zealand abandons joint infant formula standard with Australia after failed negotiations.

New Zealand will develop its own infant formula standard over the next five years, abandoning the Australia New Zealand joint standard. The decision follows unsuccessful negotiations with Australia to review new labeling requirements. New Zealand still supports the Joint Food System and aims to harmonize food standards. This marks the 4th instance New Zealand has not adopted a joint system standard.
