MP Mahama Ayariga accuses National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah of receiving GH¢6 million per month for Bawku conflict management, without evidence of progress.

Bawku Central MP, Mahama Ayariga, alleges that National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah receives GH¢6 million ($1 million) per month from the Finance Ministry to manage the Bawku conflict, amounting to GH¢18 million ($3 million) every quarter. Ayariga claims there is no evidence of work being done to resolve the conflict, even as millions of Ghana cedis are allocated for security operations and initiatives. The Bawku conflict, deeply rooted in ethnic and chieftaincy disputes, has led to widespread instability and numerous casualties in the region.
