Italy's navy to build a fourth next-gen OPV with Orizzonte Sistemi Navale, at Fincantieri shipyards, for €236M.

Italy's navy plans to build a fourth next-gen Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) with Orizzonte Sistemi Navale, a joint venture of Fincantieri (51%) and Leonardo (49%). The new vessels, built at Fincantieri's Riva Trigoso and Muggiano shipyard, will have a length of 95 meters, a displacement of 2,300 tons, and accommodate 97 crew members. The total value of the operation is around €236 million, featuring advanced technology, automation, and maneuverability.
