Isle of Man Meats plant discarded £40,000 worth of frozen meat due to a faulty freezer.

The Isle of Man Meats plant disposed of frozen stock worth £40,000 due to a faulty freezer. Despite recent servicing and temperature checks, the freezer failed to reach the required -12°C, making the meat unfit for human consumption and pet food. The government-owned plant, which focuses on selling fresh stock and preventing waste, had previously discarded over 1.8 tonnes of meat in April due to stock management errors.
