East Gippsland dairy farmer Stewart McRae has increased milk yields by 1.6 litres per cow daily after participating in the DairyFeedbase-Smart Feeding research program. The Smart Feeding project, part of DairyFeedbase, focuses on optimising nutrient intake for herds, resulting in increased milk production without requiring more feed. The joint venture between Dairy Australia, Gardiner Foundation, and Agriculture Victoria aims to improve on-farm profitability through innovative practices and solutions.
