BSP may maintain steady policy with potential less restrictive stance as inflation risks shift downward.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) may maintain its policy settings steady due to "evolving inflation conditions" and may consider a less restrictive monetary policy stance if price pressures continue to ease, according to Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. Inflation risks have shifted to the downside, and inflation expectations are well-anchored. The BSP expects overall headline inflation to remain within the target range of 2-4% for both 2024 and 2025.
