1 Aug 4th, a driver was hospitalized after their car veered off Portaferry Road in Newtownards, Co Down, Northern Ireland, landing on a beach. Joint response by Bangor Coastguard Rescue, PSNI, NIFRS, and Portaferry Coastguard Team involved. The casualty self-recovered, received medical aid, and was transported to the hospital. The vehicle was later recovered from the shore; all emergency services were stood down.
