29-year-old man in Lakewood, California, shot and critically wounded by deputies on Saturday morning after threatening a person with two knives. The incident occurred at 9:45 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Street. The suspect, who had prior arrests for knife carrying and starting fires, continued to advance towards the deputies despite a Taser attempt. Authorities recovered two knives at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
