On Aug 4, a person was hit by a train at Wimbledon and Surbiton stations, causing temporary closure of all lines for South Western Railway. The disruption, expected to last until 6 PM, led to National Rail advising commuters to check travel plans and use alternative routes. Replacement buses were arranged between Surbiton and Weybridge. The British Transport Police are investigating the incident, and the Samaritans are available for support.
