Nvidia plans to discontinue the GeForce RTX 3060 GPU and shift focus to the GeForce RTX 4060.

Nvidia plans to discontinue the GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, which has a 5.71% share in the Steam Hardware Survey. Launched in February 2021, the RTX 3060 was popular for its 12GB VRAM, 1080p performance, and affordable $330 MSRP. Nvidia has informed partners of the final batch of orders and will shift focus to newer models like the GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB memory. The RTX 3060 is expected to remain available for several months due to current stock levels.
