Gujarat Congress leader Haresh Ahir was arrested for allegedly insulting and injuring a Dalit IB officer, Reena Chauhan, by pulling her chair during a press conference. The incident, which was condemned by MoS (Home) Harsh Sanghavi, occurred at a conference organized by MLA Jignesh Mevani. Ahir was booked under sections 121, 221, 133, and provisions of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
