The FDA has approved a new procedure called Renal Denervation, which helps lower blood pressure without medications and side effects. It works by modifying nerve traffic between the brain and kidneys, inserting a catheter through the femoral artery and using ultrasound to disrupt nerve function. Two devices have been approved, with minimal side effects including a small risk of infection from catheter insertion.
