Athy Gardaí rescued a person from River Barrow on Saturday after receiving a distress call. Upon arriving, they observed the individual in trouble and one officer entered the water with help from a colleague, successfully bringing the person to safety. The rescued individual was taken to Naas Hospital for medical treatment, and Kildare Garda Síochána expressed gratitude to the officers for their life-saving efforts.
