The Taliban administration aims to begin the $1.2 billion CASA-1000 power project, transmitting electricity from Central Asia to Afghanistan and Pakistan, benefiting thousands of families and generating annual revenue. The World Bank is in talks to start the infrastructure work. Additionally, Afghanistan's Ministry of Energy and Water plans to build a Kunar River dam, generating 1,500 megawatts of electricity and addressing power shortages. However, electricity shortage remains a significant issue in the country.
