75-acre brush fire in LA's Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area was halted by firefighters on Saturday. The fire, starting near W. Burbank Boulevard, initially covered 5 acres with a slow spread, not threatening infrastructure or buildings. The Apollo 11 Model Aircraft Field was evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters stopped the fire by 2:35pm and closed Woodley Avenue lanes until the LA Fire Department completed work. No damages or injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
