59-year-old Wesner Fonrose arrested for negligent homicide in St. Tammany Parish after a 15-year-old girl was accidentally killed due to mishandling of a firearm with a bullet in the chamber. The bullet discharged, passing through a wall and striking the teenager in the living room. She was airlifted to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries the next day. Fonrose was booked into St. Tammany Parish Jail with a $20,000 bond. Sheriff Randy Smith expressed condolences to the family and acknowledged the impact of such tragedies on the community.
