Wyoming sends 10 troopers and 2 deputies to Texas's border with Mexico, at Texas's request, following a 40% decrease in border crossings.
Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon announced the state will send 10 Highway Patrol troopers and 2 Natrona County deputies to Texas's border with Mexico, in response to a request from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. This follows a decrease in border crossings by over 40% due to tightened asylum restrictions. Wyoming and Texas have previously exchanged personnel and training under the American Governors' Border Strike Force compact.
