University of Wyoming senior John Hoyland named to Lou Groza Award Preseason Watch List for third consecutive season.
University of Wyoming senior John Hoyland, a consistent place-kicker, has been named to the Lou Groza Award Preseason Watch List for the third consecutive season. Hoyland, who has a 79.5% success rate on field goals and ranks fifth in career scoring at UW with 296 points, is one field goal away from tying the school record in career field goals. The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, named after NFL Hall of Famer Lou "The Toe" Groza, recognizes the top collegiate place-kicker in the U.S. and will be presented during a gala awards banquet on December 9th in West Palm Beach, Florida.
