The Baird Review, published on 18th July, revealed mistreatment of detainees by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers. Chief Constable Stephen Watson accepted the review's recommendations and apologized for the treatment of complainants. Many criticized officers are still employed and Greater Manchester deputy mayor Kate Green will follow up on disciplinary processes against them. The Greater Manchester Combined Authority is finalizing an action plan to address the review's recommendations.
