Kobe Bryant's former locker from the Staples Center sold at auction for $2.9 million.
Kobe Bryant's locker from the Staples Center, where he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, was sold at auction for a record-breaking $2.9 million. The locker, which he used during the majority of his NBA career, nearly doubled the estimated $1.5 million price. The locker was saved from being discarded in 2018 during Staples Center arena renovations and was later acquired by an American collector. Sotheby's auction also featured sports memorabilia from other icons such as Michael Jordan and Reggie Jackson, as well as contemporary stars like Rafael Nadal and Stephen Curry.
