The Indian government has enabled 10,000+ tech startups with Rs 580 crore funding over the last five years, supporting over 3,600 startups through the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) with Rs 212 crore. Various initiatives such as the Fund of Funds for Startups, Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups, TIDE 2.0, SAMRIDH, NGIS, and Domain specific Centres of Excellence (CoEs) have aided startups in raising investments from angel investors, venture capitalists, and seeking loans. Over 1.43 lakh startups are now operating in India, recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
