Indian government removes BSF Director General Nitin Agrawal and deputy Special DG (West) YB Khurania, amid terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir region; both officers repatriated to respective state cadres. Repatriation follows a series of terror incidents in the Jammu region, with 22 people, including 11 security personnel, killed this year. The decision comes amid the government's efforts to develop a new security matrix for Jammu and Kashmir, which includes securing borders by building fences, deploying Central Reserve Police Force and considering deployment of Assam Rifles.
