Two Georgia National Guard soldiers aged 23, Spc. Travis Jordan Pameni and Spc. Owen James Elliott, died in separate non-combat incidents in Baghdad, Iraq, on July 31st. The U.S. Army announced their deaths and stated that both incidents are under investigation. Both soldiers were assigned to different regiments in Georgia before their deployment to Iraq. The Georgia National Guard has confirmed that the deaths are unrelated.
