Former British Army soldier Kerry-Ann Knight, who featured in recruitment posters, received a financial settlement and an apology from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for years of racist and sexist abuse during her service. Knight, 33, faced slurs related to slavery and experienced a "hostile environment" where she was subjected to sexist harassment. The MoD settled the claim without admitting liability; however, it issued an apology acknowledging Knight's exposure to an "unacceptable organizational environment."
