The South Jersey Transportation Authority and Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission have alerted customers to be vigilant against such fraudulent messages. They do not request payments via text or collect unpaid tolls or violations through messages. Victims should delete suspicious texts, contact their financial institution, and report the scam to the FBI.
