Bangladesh's government primary schools remain closed due to quota reform movement violence.

Bangladesh's Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has decided to keep primary schools closed due to security concerns during the quota reform movement violence. Government primary schools, except those in major city corporations, Narsingdi district, and certain exceptional schools, will remain closed until further notice. The schools were initially scheduled to reopen on August 4, but the decision was reversed due to ongoing protests.
