Adani Group's Ambuja Cement Ltd plans a Rs 1,600 crore ($208m) investment in Bihar to set up a 6 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj, marking the largest single investment by a cement industry player in the state. The facility, which aligns with the state's growing infrastructure needs, will be executed in three phases, with the first phase of 2.4 MTPA targeted for commissioning by December 2025. The project is expected to create around 250 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs, contributing significantly to local employment and generating about Rs 250 crore annually in fiscal revenue for Bihar.
