15-year-olds at Organ Mountain High School arrested with handguns, facing state and federal charges.
15-year-old students at Organ Mountain High School in Las Cruces were arrested for possessing handguns on campus. The Las Cruces Police Department initiated a shelter-in-place protocol and both students were charged with unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a handgun. The FBI's Safe Streets Gang Task Force is pursuing federal prosecution for firearms violations and narcotics trafficking against the two teens.
