43-year-old D'Vontaye Mitchell's death ruled homicide at Milwaukee Hyatt Regency hotel following restraint asphyxia and toxic effects of drugs.
43-year-old D'Vontaye Mitchell died on June 30 after being restrained by security guards outside a Milwaukee Hyatt Regency hotel. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Mitchell's death a homicide due to "restraint asphyxia and toxic effects of cocaine and methamphetamine." The case is currently being reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office and hotel employees involved in the incident have been fired.
