The US Department of State pledges support for Da Nang's fight against transnational crime.
The US Department of State, via Shelby Smith-Wilson, the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, has pledged support for Da Nang in combating transnational crime. Da Nang aims to become a major socio-economic center in Vietnam and Southeast Asia by 2023 and a smart city and innovation hub by 2045. Da Nang currently has official ties with three US cities and four US-funded projects totaling around $46.59 million.
