South Korea's Navy Chief, Admiral Yang Yong-mo, urged solidarity among nations to address North Korea's nuclear threats at a US-hosted maritime security gathering in Honolulu. Meeting with naval commanders from a multinational Rim of the Pacific exercise, Yang proposed expanding combined logistics exercises to tackle North Korea's nuclear and missile threats. During his visit, he also discussed deterrence efforts and ways to strengthen cooperation with Japan's Maritime Self-Defence Force.
