South Carolina's Richland School District 1 faces a second lawsuit over alleged flood damage to homes due to stormwater diversion from halted Early Learning Center construction site.

South Carolina's Richland School District 1 faces a second lawsuit over flood damage to residents' homes, allegedly caused by diverting stormwater from the halted construction site of the Vince Ford Early Learning Center. The couple, Meaghan and Aleni Ilimaleota, claim their backyard flooded at least eight times since March, causing significant damage to their property. The first complaint filed by a neighbor also alleges flooding damage from the early learning center construction site, accusing the district of failing to anticipate or plan for stormwater and failing to design and implement an adequate drainage system to protect neighboring properties.
