New Orleans' Nighttime Economy Director, Howie Kaplan, has resigned after two years of supporting policies and legislation for the city's cultural economy and representing over 50,000 hospitality workers. During his tenure, Kaplan helped establish the Office of Nighttime Economy, which implemented programs such as Narcan kits distribution, music industry studies, and violence resolution mediation. ONE Deputy Director Michael Ince will serve as the interim director.
