The County's Tuberculosis Control Program partners with the Grossmont Union High School District to notify and coordinate TB testing and X-rays for exposed students, staff, and volunteers. TB is an airborne disease transmitted via inhalation of bacteria from sick individuals. In 2022, San Diego County reported 208 active TB cases.
