A house fire in Lynchburg, VA, on Gills Street was deemed accidental by the Lynchburg Fire Department. Neighbors reported smoke, and firefighters found a single-story wood frame house with smoke in the rear corner. No one was inside, and the fire was controlled in 15 minutes. Tragically, one cat died, but no human injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is assisting the homeowner in finding temporary shelter.
