Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has summoned Ganderbal Deputy Commissioner Shyambir Singh to appear in person on August 5 regarding a criminal contempt case. Singh, an Indian Administrative Service officer, is accused of retaliating against Ganderbal sub-judge Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi by misusing his official position to intimidate and harass him. The court has appointed senior counsel RA Jan as amicus curiae to assist in the proceedings.
