Harvard's interim President Alan Garber to continue through 2026-27, new president search starts in 2026.

Harvard University's interim president, Alan Garber, will continue in his role through the 2026-27 academic year, according to the university. Garber took on the interim position in January following the resignation of former president Claudine Gay amid backlash over her congressional testimony about antisemitism on campus and plagiarism allegations. The university will commence a search for a new president in 2026.
