Google expands "School Time" feature to Android devices, tablets, and Samsung Galaxy Watches over the next year.
Google is extending its "School Time" feature, initially available on Fitbit Ace LTE smartwatches, to further Android devices, tablets, and Samsung Galaxy Watches over the next year. Parents can use the Family Link app to restrict device usage during school hours, specify allowed apps, and permit calls or texts from particular contacts. The enhanced Family Link system also introduces a "Today Only" screen-time setting, connected step counter with a reward-point system, and new supervision controls for teens on YouTube, enabling parents to link accounts and monitor content.
