Usman Majid, a former Jammu and Kashmir minister and Apni Party Vice President, has resigned from the party, accusing it of growing proximity with the BJP. His constituents, opposed to the BJP's "anti-minority stance", led him to quit the party. Majid, a two-time MLA from Bandipora, had joined Apni Party from Congress in 2020 and will consult his workers before deciding his future political plans.
